Job summary

Bluewater Medical Practice in Townsville seeks a suitably qualified RN or EN to join our friendly team providing high-quality patient care. You will work alongside nurses, staff and doctors in a GP clinic, focusing on immunisations, wound care, triage, and clinical support.

The role requires AHPRA registration, full working rights in Australia, and a CPR certificate. Flexible roster options support work-life balance, with standard hours 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, and a positive practice culture

Qualifications

• Must hold AHPRA registration and full working rights in Australia.
• Nurse with GP clinic experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification; renewal support available if recently expired.
• Willingness to join a collaborative team and uphold infection control.

Responsibilities

• Provide immunisations including childhood, employment, travel, and COVID-19 vaccines.
• Wound care and general treatment room duties.
• Patient triage and initial assessments.
• Sterilisation and infection control implementation.
• Cold chain management and handling of clinical supplies.
• Assist with Employment and Aviation Medicals Diagnostics as required.

Duties

• Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
• Immunisations: including childhood, employment, travel, and COVID-19 vaccinations
• Wound care
• Patient triage
• Sterilisation and infection control implementation
• Diagnostics required for Employment and Aviation Medicals
• General Treatment room duties
• Cold Chain management.

What We're Looking For

• You're a nurse with AHPRA registration and full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
• You’re passionate about patient care
• You are available to be rostered between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday - some flexibility can be accommodated
• Ideally have GP nursing experience
• You have experience working with GP Chronic Condition Management Plans and Health Assessments
• You hold a current CPR certificate - although assistance can be offered here if it has recently expired.

Previous experience working within a GP clinic would be highly desirable. Remuneration will be based on experience.
