Job summary

Optima Medical & Aesthetic Clinic in Phillip, Canberra ACT, opens January 2027 and is seeking a Passionate Practice Manager to join the foundation team. You will help launch a brand-new medical and aesthetic facility, lead daily operations and build a high-performing administrative staff.

Responsibilities

• Leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic.

About the Role

As our Practice Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the smooth day-to-day operations of Optima Medical & Aesthetic Clinic.

Working closely with the clinic owner, you'll help establish the operational foundations of the practice, support our practitioners and administrative team, and ensure every patient receives a welcoming, professional and seamless experience.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their abilities, takes pride in their work and enjoys bringing people and processes together to achieve great outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

About You – Our Ideal Practice Manager

You are a natural leader who enjoys supporting others, solving problems and keeping a busy medical practice running smoothly.

You understand that a successful practice is built on more than systems and processes. It's about creating a great team, supporting practitioners and ensuring patients feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

Ideally, you'll bring:

Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager or in a senior medical administration role.

Experience using Best Practice and HotDoc, highly regarded.

Strong knowledge of general practice operations and Medicare billing.

Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Experience managing staff, rosters and administrative workflows.

A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.

Confidence working independently and making operational decisions.

Strong attention to detail and an understanding of patient confidentiality.

A genuine passion for healthcare, teamwork and exceptional patient service.

Experience within medical aesthetics, skin clinics or specialist healthcare would be an advantage, but is not essential.
