Job summary

Greencross Vets Chatswood is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our busy clinic and guide a dedicated team. You will drive patient care, staff development, rostering, and operational excellence, collaborating with the Veterinary Director and regional leadership to shape clinic performance.

This full-time role (38 hours per week) offers flexible scheduling, a Saturday per month commitment, and a supportive environment within Australia’s leading veterinary care network.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a veterinary clinic or department.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Commercially minded with understanding of clinic performance drivers.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support veterinary nurses, receptionists, and support staff.
• Drive a positive, engaged, high-performing clinic culture.
• Manage rostering, workforce planning, and team development.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Veterinary Director to support clinic success.
• Monitor clinic performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee workflow management, stock control, and supplier relations.
• Ensure exceptional client service and compliance with safety policies.
