Job summary

Bupa’s Practice Development Manager in Sydney leads a portfolio of 15 dental practices, coaching Practice Managers and clinicians to improve patient experience and operational performance.

You'll split time between practice visits and working from home or the office, building strong teams and a culture of accountability across Sydney's CBD, South Eastern and South Western areas, Bowral and Dapto.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience directly managing people, including responsibility for performance, development and team culture.
• Track record of coaching others, strengthening engagement and helping teams achieve results.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Operational experience and commercial awareness, with confidence using financial information to guide decisions.
• Sound judgement, resilience and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to supporting teams and delivering a positive patient experience.
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across your practice portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Managers and teams, setting clear expectations and supporting performance and career development.
• Build engaged, collaborative teams and a culture of accountability, support and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Practice Managers and clinicians to understand local challenges, resolve issues and identify opportunities to improve.
• Support people management activities, including performance conversations, staff engagement, rostering and workforce planning.
• Guide operational and financial performance, using practice data and P&L results to develop practical improvement plans.
• Help teams implement business priorities, processes and compliance requirements while maintaining patient care.
• Visit practices regularly to provide visible leadership, build relationships and follow through on actions.
