alt/shift/ is a Sydney-based independent creative communications agency seeking a PR and Influencer Account Executive to work across consumer brands. The role focuses on building relationships with Australian media and digital creators, executing campaigns and supporting client work.

You will handle pitches, influencer and ambassador management, media calls, and WIPs, ensuring campaigns run on time and within KPIs. A proactive, collaborative mindset and strong writing are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Marketing/PR/Journalism/Digital
• Experience in journalism or publicity roles
• 1–2 years PR agency or in-house experience

Become a Shiftie

We’re on hunt for a communications expert to join our PR and Influencer Accounts team in Sydney working across a mix of consumer clients.

No day is the same at alt/shift/, however regular tasks will include:

• Executing campaigns and retainer client work: which may include pitching, copywriting, influencer and ambassador management, attending video and photo shoots, organising and attending media calls.
• Campaign support: helping ensure client work is delivered on time, on budget and in line with set KPIs.
• Client support: assisting with client WIPs, supporting new briefs and responses, and building exceptional media knowledge along the way.
• Admin: Organised file management within the alt/shift/ drive. Accurate time sheet recording and ensuring all your client admin (such as WIP docs, agendas, meeting notes, etc) is delivered on time.

As our Account Executive with PR heritage, you’ll bring sharp media and influencer instincts, with skills that stretch across traditional earned media and socials, and a hunger to build strong relationships from day one.

If you’re an emerging PR practitioner with a growing network of Australian media and influencer contacts, a problem solver, creative thinker and go-getter with a proven ability to deliver exceptional results for your clients and team, then we’d love to hear from you.

Required skill set/experience:

• Degree or further education - bonus point for Marketing/PR/Journalism/Digital
• Experience in journalism or publicity roles highly regarded
• Approx 1-2 years public relations experience in a PR agency environment or in-house. You may be a talented PR grad or intern, hungry to step up into an Account Executive role
• Experience supporting the delivery of integrated campaigns, with a growing understanding of identifying the most appropriate communications channels for a campaign - whether that’s social, events/activations, editorial or influencers.
• Hungry to build your network of Australian media contacts – you love the pitch and back yourself to help convert coverage
• Sound strategic thinker, keen to contribute ideas to campaign development
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Able to identify media and social trends and eloquently write up creative and considered news angles
• An uncompromising attention to detail
• Strong time management skills, with a proven ability to prioritise workloads and deliver projects on deadline
• A competent pair of hands who backs the team hard to deliver exceptional results for our clients
