Job summary

Indigitise Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer for a 12-month contract with extension. The role is hybrid, with 3 office days per week, focusing on building dashboards, reports, and data visuals to support business decisions.

You will translate requirements into scalable data models using DAX and Power Query, integrate diverse data sources, ensure security and governance, and collaborate with analysts and engineers to drive BI maturity.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years’ experience in Power BI development or BI analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Proficient in DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
• Solid SQL for data extraction, transformation, analysis and validation.
• Experience integrating Power BI with multiple structured data sources.
• Understanding of dimensional modelling, relationships and KPIs.
• Experience with Power BI Service, workspaces, refresh, gateways and access control.
• Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) is desirable.
• Experience implementing row-level security and data governance controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in Agile or technology delivery environments.

Responsibilities

Role Requirements

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5+ years’ experience in Power BI development, Business Intelligence, data analytics, or similar roles
  
• Strong hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
  
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query and data modelling
  
• Solid SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and validation
  
• Experience integrating Power BI with multiple structured data sources
  
• Good understanding of dimensional modelling, relationships, measures, KPIs, and reporting best practices
  
• Experience with Power BI Service including workspaces, scheduled refreshes, gateways, access management, and deployment
  
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services such as Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks is desirable
  
• Experience implementing row-level security and appropriate data governance controls
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
