Job summary

Konnexus is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our growing data and analytics environment. This hands-on role covers semantic modeling, DAX, RLS, Power BI administration and performance optimization, taking solutions from requirements through to production.

You will design end-to-end BI solutions across multiple areas, work with stakeholders to translate reporting needs, build complex semantic models, and develop interactive dashboards and KPI scorecards that drive business

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Power BI experience in large enterprises.
• End-to-end Power BI project delivery from requirements to deployment.
• Strong knowledge of semantic models and star schemas.
• Experience with RLS and performance tuning.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join a growing data and analytics environment and help deliver enterprise-level Power BI solutions across the business. This is a hands-on role for someone who has strong experience delivering Power BI solutions end to end, rather than just focusing purely on dashboard development. You'll work across semantic modelling, DAX, RLS, Power BI administration, performance optimisation and stakeholder engagement, taking solutions from initial requirements through to production.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

• Design and deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions across multiple areas of the business.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and turn them into practical BI solutions.
• Build and maintain complex enterprise semantic models, including relationships, measures, hierarchies and business logic.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports and KPI scorecards that support business decision-making.
• Write advanced DAX measures and optimise existing DAX, reports and data models for performance.
• Design and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) across different user groups and business functions.
• Support the administration of the Power BI environment, including workspaces, permissions, apps, gateways, refresh schedules and access.
• Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure data models and underlying data structures are fit for reporting.
• Troubleshoot reporting, model and refresh performance issues across the Power BI environment.
• Help improve Power BI development standards, governance, documentation and reporting consistency across the organisation.

Skills You Must Have

• 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, ideally within large or complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience delivering Power BI solutions end to end, from requirements gathering and solution design through to development, deployment and ongoing support.
• Extensive experience designing and developing complex semantic models.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, star schemas, relationships, hierarchies and reusable enterprise data models.
• Advanced DAX skills with experience building complex measures and optimising model and report performance.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data warehouses and large datasets.
• Experience identifying and resolving Power BI performance issues.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
