Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd in Western Australia is seeking a Senior Developer to join the WEM Operation Solutions team. You will develop real-time power system operation software, collaborating with integration teams and other developers to design, build and commission solutions while aligning with business stakeholders on requirements.

You will support readiness and transition activities, ensuring successful implementation of critical programs for the WA portfolio.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in building software, including design, development, and integration.
Demonstrated knowledge of best practises when developing systems for critical infrastructure.
Experience in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid projects.
Excellent stakeholder relations capabilities with the ability to form strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience in power system/power market operation preferable.
Understanding of the WA Government's Energy Transformation Strategy and the proposed WEM Reforms preferable.

Responsibilities

Engage with SMEs and internal stakeholders to develop critical power system operation software solutions.
Work with Project Managers and Project Leads to deliver software solutions.
Support Production Readiness activities and material development.
Consult with digital teams to develop transition to support plans and materials.
SME for ongoing support and enhancements for the Power Systems.
Active and visible support of Workplace Health and Safety, Anti-Discrimination, and Competition and Consumer Acts.
