Job summary

AGL Energy Limited in Docklands, VIC is seeking a Reporting & Solutions Analyst to join the Asset Services division. The role focuses on delivering data-led reporting and insights across operational performance and compliance, using Power BI, SQL, and modern analytics platforms.

You will translate business requirements into trusted data assets, automate processes, and partner with stakeholders to drive value through trusted analytics and intelligent reporting across the energy assets.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Power BI, including report development, deployment, performance optimisation, and report lifecycle management.
• SQL, DAX, and Power Query skills for data transformation, analysis, and reporting solution development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of data modelling principles including dimensional modelling, star schema design, and semantic layer architecture.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, data warehouse, and modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Experience in the energy, utilities, or power generation sectors is highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI, DAX, and SQL together with AGL’s technology stack including SEEQ and Aveva Pi.
• Develop and maintain semantic models, reusable datasets, KPI frameworks, and other reporting assets.
• Manage the scheduled delivery of internal and external reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Power Platform, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure Asset Intelligence continues to be the trusted performance data provider through consistent delivery of high quality and reliable analytics to stakeholders.
