Job summary

AGL Energy Limited in Melbourne is seeking a Reporting & Data Quality Analyst to unlock the value of C&I data and deliver robust reporting and insights that support better decisions for people and customers.

You'll design, develop and maintain automated Power BI dashboards, apply strong SQL and data modelling, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve data quality, governance and data-driven outcomes across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a data, reporting or analytics role, ideally within energy or a complex environment.
• Strong SQL expertise, including joins, CTEs, performance optimisation and data modelling.
• Advanced Power BI capability, with experience developing dashboards using DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to translate data into insights.
• Attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills to manage priorities and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated Power BI dashboards and reporting using SQL, data models and pipelines.
• Turn complex data into actionable insights supporting growth, efficiency and opportunities.
• Own data quality and integrity with audits, cleansing and controls.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective reporting solutions.
• Manage contractual and regulatory reporting obligations with robust processes and governance.
• Take end-to-end ownership of delivery, balancing priorities and maintaining quality.
