Doogood Powder Coating Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead our powder coating team on the shop floor. You will ensure safe, on-time, first-time quality as you oversee pre-treatment, coating and curing processes.

You’ll supervise and train staff, plan daily production with operations, and drive continuous improvements in quality and safety. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in powder coating, 1+ year in a supervisory role, and solid WH&S knowledge.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of powder coating experience in a production environment.
• At least 1 year in a leading hand, team leader or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of pre-treatment, application and curing processes.
• Clear communication and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Full Australian working rights and forklift licence (LF).

Responsabilités

• Supervising, rostering and leading the powder coating team, including induction and training of new staff.
• Planning daily production with the operations team to meet delivery deadlines.
• Overseeing pre-treatment, line loading, coating application and oven curing.
• Performing quality checks on film thickness, adhesion, colour match and finish; reduce rework.
• Managing colour changes, powder stock and consumables.
• Leading WHS on the floor; PPE, chemicals handling, SDS, toolbox talks and incident reporting.
• Coordinating maintenance of booths, guns, ovens and pre-treatment equipment to minimise downtime.
• Keeping accurate production, quality and safety records.
• Finding ways to improve efficiency, quality and safety.
• Collaborating with the Arvo shift Supervisor for smooth transitions.

About the role

You'll assist in the running of the day-to-day operation of the powder coating department, leading a team of coaters and line operators. You'll be on the floor, not behind a desk, making sure work is done safely, on time and right the first time.

What you'll be doing

• Running quality checks on film thickness, adhesion, colour match and finish, and reducing rework

• Leading WHS on the floor, including PPE, hazardous chemicals, SDS, toolbox talks and incident reporting

• Coordinating maintenance of booths, guns, ovens and pre-treatment equipment to minimise downtime

What you'll bring

Essential:

• At least 3 years of powder coating experience in a production environment

• At least 1 year in a leading hand, team leader or supervisory role

• Strong knowledge of pre-treatment, application and curing processes

• A sharp eye for quality and finish

• A solid understanding of WHS, especially hazardous chemicals and PPE

• Clear communication and the ability to lead and motivate a team

• Basic computer skills for production records and reporting

• Full Australian working rights

• A forklift licence (LF)
