Job summary

APG Workforce is seeking a 2IC/3IC Farm Manager to lead a poultry operation in Bargo, NSW. You will oversee day-to-day farming activities, manage production and staff, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong livestock experience, and a commitment to food safety and animal welfare. On-site work with local applicants preferred; Australian work rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in poultry, egg production or livestock farm management.
• Proven leadership and team coaching abilities.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Physically capable of hands-on farming work.
• Full Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all poultry farm operations including feeding, egg collection and environmental controls.
• Lead, train and supervise staff to maintain safety and high standards.
• Set daily priorities and monitor team performance for accountability.
• Ensure health, welfare and humane treatment of birds.
• Monitor flock performance and take corrective actions.
• Oversee maintenance of sheds, equipment and machinery.
• Manage feed, medications and stock levels; coordinate suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS standards.
• Assist in budgeting and controlling operational costs; meet KPIs.
