Job summary
Northrop Consulting Engineers is seeking a Structural Engineer focused on post-tensioned concrete design. The role covers analysis, modelling, and documentation from concept to construction, ensuring coordination with architectural and services disciplines.
Working under senior guidance, you will deliver buildable solutions that meet client, code, and program requirements and support project delivery within set timelines.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering from a recognized professional body.
- 1–3 years structural engineering experience in building design projects.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards (AS/NZS), NCC, and relevant authority requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structural analysis, modelling, and design for building elements, including post-tensioned concrete slabs, under supervision.
- Support development of efficient, practical, and buildable structural solutions coordinated with architectural, civil, and services disciplines.
- Deliver assigned design tasks within agreed timeframes, budgets, and project milestones.
- Prepare structural documentation for tender and construction phases and update documentation as required.
- Assist with calculations, project support, and knowledge sharing with senior engineers and drafters.
- Develop structural computational models using ETABS, SAP2000, SpaceGass; produce calculations and drawings.
