The primary purpose of this role is to drive the portfolio management and technical excellence initiatives to ensure financial targets and portfolio strategy are delivered.

About the role

1. Support the development and lead the execution of Portfolio Strategies, incorporating insights from market, competitors and customer research, and ensuring it is appropriately reflected in our annual Financial Plan.
2. Deliver the monitoring of market, competitors, performance and insight development that drive strategic pivots.
3. Utilise data and insights to maintain appropriate Target Market and manage portfolio exposure in line with accumulation management requirements.
4. Drive continuous monitoring of trends and growth opportunities.
5. Contribute to the financial planning process and engage with key stakeholders to implement relevant portfolio actions.
6. Liaise with the pricing team to support development of pricing strategies and capabilities to ensure the adequacy of pricing.
7. Provide recommendations to the commercial pricing decisions to achieve portfolio performance as according to the pricing governance and risk frameworks.

About you

1. Proven analytical and critical thinking abilities, to evaluate complex alternatives and articulate strategies.
2. Experience in managing Consumer products within a Financial Services institution, preferred in General Insurance either CTP / Home / Motor.
3. Experience working with internal and external data and analytical tools is essential, ideally one of the following: SQL, SAS, Python, Tableau or MicroStrategy.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of products, industry practices and governing legislation.
5. Highly developed consulting and influencing skills, demonstrating the ability to co-create strategy, valuable analytical solutions and present this to key business stakeholders.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
