Job summary

Elysium Manly is seeking a friendly and proactive Porter to welcome guests, manage arrivals and departures, and ensure luggage handling and room escorting are carried out with care.

You will maintain the lobby in pristine condition, assist with tours, and support Concierge and Reception during busy periods. A valid Australian driver license, RSA certificate, and working rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel or serviced apartments environment preferred.
• Genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills with confident spoken and written English.
• Excellent presentation and a warm, welcoming personality.
• Sound knowledge of the local area or willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Valid Australian Driver Licence is essential.
• Current RSA certificate is essential.
• Valid Australian Working Rights / Visa is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and departure, using their name when known.
• Check the daily arrival list for VIPs or guests with special needs.
• Coordinate luggage collection and delivery, and group luggage as needed.
• Escort guests to rooms, assist with parking and retrieval of vehicles.
• Explain room and hotel facilities; be present at Concierge/Reception to assist.
• Maintain the lobby/foyer area, keeping it clean and presentable at all times.
• Book tours and sightseeing activities, and complete daily mail runs.
• Assist the Concierge during busy periods and breaks.

As Porter, you will play an essential role in ensuring exceptional service is provided to guests at all times, and for keeping the front office premises safe, clean and comfortable.

Main responsibilities:

• Greet all guests as they arrive and depart, using their name once known
• Check the daily arrival list for VIPs or guests with special needs
• Ensure the efficient collection and delivery of guest luggage, mail, messages and group luggage
• Escort guests to their room, placing luggage as needed, and park/retrieve guest vehicles with care
• Explain room and hotel facilities to guests, and be present at Concierge/Reception to assist as needed
• Maintain the lobby/foyer area, ensuring it remains clean and presentable at all times
• Book tours and sightseeing activities, and complete daily mail runs
• Assist the Concierge during busy periods and breaks

Your experience and skills include:
