Job summary

Elysium Manly, a luxury destination on Sydney’s beach, seeks a Porter to ensure exceptional service at all times. You will greet guests, escort them to rooms, handle luggage, and support the Concierge during busy periods.

The ideal candidate has experience in a hotel or serviced apartments, outstanding English, and a warm, welcoming manner. You must hold a valid Australian Driver Licence, RSA certificate, and working rights; be flexible to a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel or serviced apartments environment preferred
• Strong communication skills with confident spoken and written English
• Excellent presentation and a warm, welcoming personality
• Sound knowledge of the local area or a willingness to learn
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Valid Australian Driver Licence is essential
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is essential
• Valid Australian Working Rights / Visa is essential

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests as they arrive and depart, using their name once known
• Check the daily arrival list for VIPs or guests with special needs
• Ensure the efficient collection and delivery of guest luggage, mail, messages and group luggage
• Escort guests to their room, placing luggage as needed, and park/retrieve guest vehicles with care
• Explain room and hotel facilities to guests, and be present at Concierge/Reception to assist as needed
• Maintain the lobby/foyer area, ensuring it remains clean and presentable at all times
• Book tours and sightseeing activities, and complete daily mail runs
• Assist the Concierge during busy periods and breaks

As Porter, you will play an essential role in ensuring exceptional service is provided to guests at all times, and for keeping the front office premises safe, clean and comfortable.
