Role Description

This full-time Pool Technician role is an on-site position based in the Greater Sydney Area. The Pool Technician will be responsible for performing routine pool and spa maintenance, including water testing, chemical balancing, cleaning, and basic equipment checks. Day-to-day tasks include visiting residential and commercial client sites, diagnosing and resolving common pool issues, and ensuring all work complies with safety and quality standards. The role also involves communicating clearly with clients, providing advice on pool care, documenting services performed, and reporting any complex technical problems to supervisors or specialist teams. The Pool Technician may assist with installation or minor repair of pool equipment and support inventory management of chemicals and spare parts.

Qualifications

• Practical pool servicing skills, including water testing, chemical balancing, cleaning, and routine equipment inspection.
• Basic mechanical and technical aptitude for identifying issues with pumps, filters, heaters, and other pool systems.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to work professionally with a diverse client base.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, handle chemicals responsibly, and maintain accurate service records.
• Valid driver’s license and capability to travel between sites within the Greater Sydney Area.
• Reliable time management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in pool maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, or a similar trade is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Relevant industry training or certification in pool operations or water treatment is an advantage; willingness to undertake training is expected.
