Job summary

Talent International is hiring an APS6 Policy Officer to work with a Federal Government client across multiple NSW office locations. This contract role runs until the end of December with a potential extension.

The position offers hourly pay of $60.26 plus Super, with 7.6 hours per day (38 hours per week). The role involves developing and implementing policy, undertaking research and analysis, and preparing high-quality written materials while engaging with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in policy development and reform projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and implementation of reform policies, strategies and projects.
• Research and analyze complex policy matters.
• Prepare high-quality policy papers, briefs, reports, presentations and correspondence.
• Identify and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Design, support and lead stakeholder engagement activities.
• Use data and technical information to develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Apply sound judgement to progress work within governance frameworks.
• Manage competing priorities and deliver within timeframes.
