Job summary

Aurizon in Sarina, QLD, is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to conduct routine and corrective maintenance on rail assets. Full training provided; you’ll need a clean license, reliability, and strong work ethic.

You will be responsible for following prescribed methods, keeping records, and reporting on equipment performance. A positive team attitude and clear communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High level knowledge of functions, defects and fault finding with equipment associated with assets and equipment.
• Ample level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and instructions including the Workplace Health and Safety Act.

Responsibilities

• To conduct routine and corrective maintenance in accordance with the prescribed methods and best practice.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications.
• Maintain all records and associated documentation relating to asset condition, maintenance programs and costing systems.
• Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment performance and condition irregularities.
• Progress the implementation and application of work practices in pursuit of ensuring continuous quality improvement
