Job summary

Aurizon in Sarina, QLD, is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to conduct routine and corrective maintenance on rail assets. Full training provided; you’ll need a clean license, reliability, and strong work ethic.

You will be responsible for following prescribed methods, keeping records, and reporting on equipment performance. A positive team attitude and clear communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High level knowledge of functions, defects and fault finding with equipment associated with assets and equipment.
• Ample level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and instructions including the Workplace Health and Safety Act.

Responsibilities

• To conduct routine and corrective maintenance in accordance with the prescribed methods and best practice.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications.
• Maintain all records and associated documentation relating to asset condition, maintenance programs and costing systems.
• Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment performance and condition irregularities.
• Progress the implementation and application of work practices in pursuit of ensuring continuous quality improvement

About the role: Diverse role based in Sarina, full training provided. We are looking for applicants that have lots of energy and enthusiasm. You will also need to be hard working and appreciate the opportunity to learn the art of points welding. All we need from you is a clean driver’s licence, good work ethic and someone that’s reliable.
