Job summary

City of Canada Bay Council in Sydney’s harbourside region is seeking a dedicated Program Officer to support PMO advisory and the delivery of Capital Works across Council. You will help maintain the project management framework, assist PMO365, and prepare key reports.

The role emphasizes collaboration across directorates, strong stakeholder engagement, and IT proficiency with Power BI and SharePoint; the Council offers a hybrid work arrangement, expansive leave benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a PMO or PMO programs.
• Ability to work across departments to coordinate deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Strong IT skills with MS Office; Power BI and SharePoint advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of local government issues and governance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily PMO operations and administration of the project management framework.
• Monitor the PM framework and improve materials, templates and forms for the capital works program.
• Analyse projects for performance and PM compliance with the PM Framework and governance requirements.
• Coordinate and produce key reports, including Mayoral reports, program-wide reporting, ARIC reports and PSC packs.
• Provide administrative support for PMO 365 and assist project managers with data entry and system updates.
• Support the CAPEX budget review process and pipeline development.
