Job summary

Blue Mountains City Council is seeking a Project Support Officer to join the Project Management Office. The role focuses on governance oversight of projects within the Asset Work Program and involves monitoring status, producing updates and presentations, and supporting internal practices in a team environment.

The position is temporary with potential permanency, offering a base salary from $92,709 gross per annum plus 12% superannuation and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires good understanding of project management and strong communication, customer service, organisation and analytical skills.
• Ability to monitor project status, prepare updates and presentations, and support improvements to internal practices.
• Team-based role with internal stakeholders and coordination duties.

Responsibilities

• Plan, track, monitor and report on capital projects using project management practices and software (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Improve project management capability and delivery through alignment with Council goals.
• Support the implementation of Council's Project Management and Governance Framework.
