Job summary

Building Industry Training Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Plumbing Trainer and Assessor for Central Queensland, Brisbane and Toowoomba. The role involves hands-on training of apprentices, site visits, and updating training materials.

A company vehicle is provided and offices are available for meetings; trainers may travel to worksites as needed. Applicants should hold CPC32420 with potential preference for CPC32620, and aim to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Qualifications

• Trade knowledge and ability to work independently with compliance.
• Hold CPC32420 Certificate III in Plumbing or higher.
• Possess White and Blue Cards and prepare for RSI training credentials.
• Have or be ready to obtain Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support apprentices to improve skills and knowledge.
• Tutor practical and theoretical projects for trainees.
• Visit sites or train at facilities as required.
• Keep qualifications up to date and update training materials.
• Complete site visits and document training activities and assessments.
• Mentor students with practical training and support.
• Assist in developing new training resources.
