Job summary

Caroma is seeking an experienced licensed plumber to become a Technical Trainer at the Prestons Centre of Excellence. You will run practical training, demonstrate products and share your plumbing knowledge with sales teams, customers and industry peers.

With or without formal training experience, you’ll be coached to develop training skills while leveraging your credibility as a plumber. Occasional travel across Australia and New Zealand is expected.

Qualifications

• A plumbing trade qualification and strong hands-on industry experience.
• Solid technical knowledge of plumbing products, systems and installation.
• The confidence to talk to other tradies and “speak plumber”
• A practical, down-to-earth communication style
• An interest in teaching, coaching or helping others develop
• Confidence talking to groups of people
• Strong people skills and the ability to build relationships
• A willingness to travel occasionally

Responsibilities

• Running practical, hands-on plumbing and product training.
• Sharing your technical knowledge with sales teams, customers and others in the industry.
• Demonstrating products, installation techniques and plumbing solutions.
• Breaking down technical information so it\'s simple and easy to understand.
• Coaching team members in the field and supporting customer visits.
• Working with our Product, Quality and R&D teams to stay across new products and technical information.
• Helping us continually improve our technical training.
• Building relationships with plumbers, merchants and industry partners.
• Traveling occasionally within Australia and New Zealand to deliver training.
