Job summary

Local Group is seeking a Plumbing & Home Services Sales Consultant to join our growing Geelong team. You’ll visit homeowners, identify their needs and present clear options for plumbing, hot water, heating and cooling, and other home services.

You’ll quote confidently with good, better and best options, and offer finance where suitable. You won’t cold call; appointments are booked for you and you’ll close successfully.

Qualifications

• Must have plumbing or trade background or proven sales in home services.
• Confident, honest communicator trusted by customers.
• Driven by targets and results.
• Must hold a current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Run booked in-home sales appointments across Geelong region.
• Inspect the job, take measurements and photos, and explain the options in plain language.
• Build quotes with good, better and recommended options, with support from our office and price books.
• Offer interest-free finance where it suits the customer.
• Follow up quotes quickly and close the sale.
• Hand won jobs to our scheduling team for a smooth start.
• Hit weekly targets and track your results with the team.

About us

Local Group is a growing family of home service businesses across Geelong, Ballarat, the Bellarine and Melbourne's west. We cover plumbing, hot water, heating and cooling, electrical, roofing, garage doors and renovations. We get a steady flow of leads from homeowners and real estate agencies, and we need someone to turn them into happy customers.

The role

You’ll visit customers at their homes, work out what they need and present clear options they can say yes to. You won’t be cold calling: we book the appointments, and you show up, listen and close. You’ll quote across plumbing and our other home services, from hot water and leaks to heating, cooling and bigger upgrades.

What you’ll do

• Run booked in-home sales appointments across our service area.

About you

• You have a plumbing or trade background, or proven sales experience in home services, solar, HVAC or similar.
• You’re a confident, honest communicator who people trust.
• You’re driven by results and comfortable with targets.
• You’re organised and good with an iPad or laptop.
• You hold a current driver’s licence.
