Job summary

South32 is seeking a Plumber for a permanent full-time position on a 7:7 roster with FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires. The role supports remediation, refurbishment and construction projects, ensuring safety, environmental and quality standards are met.

You will diagnose faults, upgrade systems, read technical drawings, and work with trades and project teams to minimise operational disruption.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Plumbing is required.
• Current Plumbing and Gas Fitting Licence is required.
• Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry trainings are required.
• A current Driver’s Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver plumbing and hydraulic services for remediation, refurbishment and construction projects.

This role is a Permanent full-time position on a 7:7 roster, rotating day and night shift. FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

As the Plumber, you will be responsible for delivering plumbing and hydraulic services that support structural remediation, refurbishment and construction projects while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Complete fault finding, repairs and system upgrades
• Conduct inspections, testing and commissioning activities
• Interpret technical drawings and project specifications
• Support project planning to minimise operational disruption
