Job summary

M&T Resources seeks a Platform Lead to direct design, implementation and continuous improvement of the delivery platform across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will balance technical leadership with people leadership, shaping pipelines, automation and platform services to meet business and regulatory needs.

Lead a Platform Engineering team, drive platform standards and provide self‑service automation while ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Platform Engineering or DevOps teams.
• Proven ability to design CI/CD pipelines from inception.
• Hands-on deployment automation and IaC knowledge.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

Job description

The Platform Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the delivery platform across on-premises and cloud environments.

The role balances technical leadership with people leadership, spending approximately 50% of time designing, building and improving deployment pipelines and automation, while leading the Platform team to deliver secure, reliable and scalable platform services.

The Platform Lead is responsible for establishing platform standards, prioritizing work, managing operational triage and enabling engineering teams through reusable platform capabilities, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities, operational requirements and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities:

Platform Engineering & Architecture

• Design, build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines across cloud and on-premises environments with AWS and on-prem Linux infrastructure.
• Own platform architecture for deployment automation, release management, environment promotion, secrets management and operational runbooks.
• Develop reusable deployment patterns, templates and platform standards.
• Improve developer self-service through automation, documentation and standardized delivery approaches.
• Drive continuous improvement through deployment metrics and platform performance analysis.

To be successful you will have:

• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing Platform Engineering or DevOps teams.
