Job summary

Preacta Recruitment is seeking a Technical Lead Engineer with a passion for the latest technologies. You will build scalable cloud-native solutions, leverage agentic AI, and bring fintech, banking, or product experience to a leadership role.

You will lead architecture, design and delivery, drive reliability, and mentor engineers to raise engineering standards across complex environments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing, building and delivering Java cloud applications with Spring Boot and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native, distributed systems on AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong grasp of microservices and service-oriented architecture for scalable, resilient systems.
• Knowledge of containers, APIs, SQL/NoSQL, event streaming, TDD, CD and SRE.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution and delivery of projects across the wealth platform.
• Own delivery from architecture and design through production deployment and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and business analysts to set priorities and manage dependencies and risks.
• Make key technical design decisions and write code for critical components and proofs of concept.
• Own platform reliability including KRIs, SLOs, incident management and root cause analysis.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, feedback and knowledge sharing.

Then this role is for you. You will bring experience building scalable cloud-native solutions, leveraging agentic AI, and ideally a strong Fintech, banking, or product background.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing, building and delivering Java cloud applications, with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot and relational databases
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native, distributed systems on AWS and/or GCP
• Strong grasp of microservices and service-oriented architecture, and the ability to design systems that scale and stay resilient
• Working knowledge of containers, APIs, SQL/NoSQL, event streaming, TDD, Continuous Delivery and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Experience with AI-assisted and agentic development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or Gemini CLI
• A track record of delivering high-performing, maintainable systems in complex environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers
• An understanding of security, privacy, regulatory requirements and technology lifecycle management
