Job summary

Mitti is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to advance the Internal Developer Platform and tooling, enabling engineering teams to ship faster with less friction. You will drive multi-month initiatives, adopt new architectures, and lead a small team focused on scalable, reliable infrastructure.

You will leverage Kubernetes, Go, AWS, Python, and Terraform to design and implement scalable platform solutions, while mentoring others and promoting best practices across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Go and Kubernetes for platform/infrastructure work.
• AWS depth required; GCP experience a plus but not a substitute.
• Experience with Python and Terraform for automation.
• Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD practices.
• Linux and networking troubleshooting experience.
• Experience across codebases not built by you, with patterns others can follow.
• SaaS architecture and design at scale.

Responsibilities

• Identify and lead adoption of new tech that improves our platform end to end.
• Design and build scalable, resilient foundational infrastructure.
• Evolve Internal Developer Platform to reduce direct platform access needs.
• Translate cross-team needs into delivered outcomes.
• Contribute to early solution design to prevent operational problems.
• Facilitate cross-team discussions to achieve technical outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership to a small team and coach engineers.
• Use AI-assisted tools to produce high-quality production code.
