Insignia Financial is seeking a Principal Engineer for Advice Technology in Hobart. You will shape how the platform evolves, set engineering direction, and drive modernisation across core capabilities.

Formación

Extensive experience in software engineering and platform delivery.
Proven ability to modernise critical platforms and influence direction.
Strong understanding of modern engineering principles: architecture, scalability, security.
Experience with distributed systems and API-led environments.
Ability to operate across strategy and hands-on problem solving.

Responsabilidades

Drive the modernisation of core Advice Technology platforms, setting direction and ensuring quality standards.
Define and embed engineering standards and patterns as the team scales.
Lead complex technical decisions balancing innovation, risk and debt.
Embed modern engineering approaches including automation and AI-enabled capability.
Stay hands-on where it matters and guide teams through ambiguity.
Collaborate with architecture, product, security and technology teams to align direction.
