Job summary

Magentus is hiring for a platform engineer to own services across the stack, from infrastructure to frontend. You’ll work with peers to deliver robust, scalable healthcare tech on AWS and modern IaC.

We value engineers who push architectural boundaries, integrate AI for productivity, and contribute to open source. The role supports hybrid work with a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and shipping production software - you've owned services, not just tickets.
• Hands-on with: TypeScript/Node.js, AWS, and infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform)
• Confidence to challenge ideas and contribute to technical decisions
• Hands on experience with AI-assisted development & AI agents
• Bonus: React, Ruby on Rails, identity and federated SSO (Cognito, OIDC/SAML), application security, or experience in healthcare and other regulated environments

Responsibilities

• Own services across infra, data layer, API, and frontend from design to production.
• Make real architectural decisions that affect platform used by clinicians.
• Ensure identity, security and reliability as part of the job scope.
• Build tooling and pipelines to accelerate the team’s delivery.
