Job summary

Magentus is building Gentu, a cloud platform powering over 5,000 specialist practices across Australia and supporting more than 22,000 clinicians daily. As Tech Lead, you will shape decision-making, guide software quality at scale, and elevate the team’s engineering practices to deliver reliable healthcare software.

You’ll partner with Product and Design, focus on AI-driven development, and influence architectural choices while ensuring high performance, security, and health of critical systems

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Senior Engineer or Tech Lead.
• Technical capability across Ruby on Rails, Node.js, TypeScript, React and AWS.
• Ability to contribute across the stack, with depth in at least one area.
• Experience improving engineering practices and team performance.
• A proactive approach to AI-enabled development.

Responsibilities

• Guide technical decision-making to ensure the right calls are made at the right time.
• Improve how the team designs, builds, tests, and delivers software.
• Lead the use of agentic AI tools in development workflows.
• Partner with Product and Design to align on priorities and solutions.
• Maintain system health across performance, reliability, security, and technical debt.
• Identify risks early and make them visible before they elevate.
