Job summary

Magentus is building Gentu, a cloud platform powering over 5,000 specialist practices across Australia and supporting more than 22,000 clinicians daily. As Tech Lead, you will shape decision-making, guide software quality at scale, and elevate the team’s engineering practices to deliver reliable healthcare software.

You’ll partner with Product and Design, focus on AI-driven development, and influence architectural choices while ensuring high performance, security, and health of critical systems

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Senior Engineer or Tech Lead.
• Technical capability across Ruby on Rails, Node.js, TypeScript, React and AWS.
• Ability to contribute across the stack, with depth in at least one area.
• Experience improving engineering practices and team performance.
• A proactive approach to AI-enabled development.

As a Tech Lead, your role is to elevate the team — not to be the answer to everything. You’ll shape how decisions are made, how software is built, and how we maintain quality at scale.

This is a high-impact role where your work directly affects clinicians and patients every day.

About You

You’re an experienced engineer who naturally lifts the people around you. You’ve played a key technical role in a team before and improved outcomes through your influence.

You’re comfortable leading without needing to have all the answers, and you focus on enabling better decisions across the team.

You’re also curious and hands‑on with emerging tools, particularly AI, and enjoy experimenting with new ways of building software.

You’ll bring:
