Job summary

Lumi is seeking a Platform Engineer to bridge software development and infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and scale of our engineering platforms in Australia. You will build out our infrastructure, refine CI/CD pipelines, and establish monitoring for fast-paced deployments.

You will optimize databases, support an event-driven architecture, and contribute to building production-level AI infrastructure and MLOps capabilities as we scale.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker and Kubernetes.
A track record of building CI/CD pipelines and comprehensive infrastructure monitoring.
Proven experience in database performance monitoring with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, including cluster management, query optimization and performance tuning.
An eagerness to learn MLOps principles and help build production AI infrastructure.

The Role

As a platform Engineer, you will bridge the gap between software development and infrastructure system operations to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our engineering platforms.

This is a highly technical, hands‑on role where you will focus on building out our infrastructure, refining CI/CD pipelines, and establishing robust monitoring systems to support our fast‑paced deployments.

You will play a crucial part in optimizing our databases and supporting our modern event‑driven architecture, enabling our engineering teams to deliver high‑quality software efficiently and securely.

Additionally, we are in the early stages of an exciting journey to build MLOps and agentic infrastructures. This role presents an excellent opportunity to learn and actively participate in building and scaling production‑level AI infrastructure and agents.

This Person Is Someone With…
