Job summary
Open Universities Australia is seeking a DevOps Engineer to make life easier for the engineers building our digital products. You’ll work with product engineers to understand needs, remove delivery bottlenecks and automate tooling across AWS infrastructure.
This hands-on role blends software development with cloud operations, building services in TypeScript, maintaining infrastructure as code and exploring AI-assisted development to improve workflows and reduce toil.
Qualifications
- Hands-on software engineering experience building, testing, deploying and maintaining services.
- Experience with AWS compute, storage, networking and observability.
- Security-minded with incident response & access controls.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain platform services, APIs, tooling and automation.
- Collaborate with product engineers to remove bottlenecks and improve delivery.
- Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure via code with security and cost in mind.
- Improve CI, testing, deployment and observability.
- Embed security into everyday engineering and manage secrets.
