Job summary

Zone IT Solutions Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Platform / DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Ansible and Apigee. You will onboard API gateway services, attend design workshops, and help define platform requirements with costings.

You will maintain design docs, update Jira, manage PTW, and execute occasional 2300–0700 AEST change windows. The role focuses on automating with Ansible, refining scripts, and ensuring reliable, scalable infrastructure for our ERP and IT services clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with Ansible via CLI and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Onboarding API Gateway Services and Apigee onboarding processes.
• Updating design docs, spreadsheets, wiki docs, and Jira statuses.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding API gateway services and Apigee onboarding.
• Attend design workshops and project meetings.
• Request platform requirements and provide costings from templates.
• Update Jira with status and required details and track onboarding checklists.
• Implement process and documentation improvements.
• Develop and improve Ansible scripts and Red Hat VMs routing.
• Perform occasional change window activities between 2300 AEST and 0700 AEST.
• Other ad hoc onboarding and platform maintenance activities.

We are looking for a Platform / Devops Engineer with strong experience in Ansible and Apigee.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge and experience with Ansible via CLI and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Onboarding work for API Gateway Services, including:
• Attending design workshops and project meetings.
• Requesting platform requirements and providing costings based on pre-created cost templates.
• Updating design documentation, Excel spreadsheets, and wiki documents.
• Updating JIRA with status and required details.
• Tracking onboarding status and checklists.
• Implementing process and documentation improvements.
• Implementing onboarding in Apigee software.
• Managing API keys, developer apps, developer creation, and rotations.
• Creating and updating communication matrices.
• Managing PTW (Permit to Work), creating changes and MOPs, and coordinating approvals.
• Performing occasional change window activities between 2300 AEST and 0700 AEST.
• Developing and improving Ansible scripts.
• Implementing static routes on Red Hat VMs.
• Performing other ad hoc onboarding and platform maintenance activities.
