Job summary

You will lead all aspects of team management, drive platform and portfolio performance, and oversee broker relationships to ensure alignment with strategy and guidelines. The role emphasizes coaching, performance reviews, and development of underwriters, while maintaining focus on achieving GWP, retention and loss ratio

Qualifications

• Manage an underwriting team and deliver financial objectives.
• Lead all aspects of team management including goal setting, reviews, and compliance.
• Build a high-performing team by recruiting and developing underwriters.
• Drive platform and portfolio performance, pricing and appetite settings.
• Oversee partner platforms, MOUs, and ensure decisions align with guidelines.
• Monitor portfolio performance and support analysis, reporting and projects.
• Deliver team financial targets including GWP, retention and loss ratio.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver a strong sales and service approach that creates a high-quality broker experience, while coaching and supporting the team to meet service standards, SLAs and NPS targets.
• Proactively engage with brokers and key stakeholders, providing updates, resolving issues and identifying training needs to lift performance.
• Lead all aspects of team management, including goal setting, performance reviews, one-on-ones, workflow planning, compensation reviews and compliance requirements.
• Build a high-performing team by recruiting, motivating, developing and retaining quality underwriters.
• Drive platform and portfolio performance by improving user experience, referral handling, automation, onboarding, pricing and appetite settings.
• Oversee partner platforms, binder agreements and broker MOUs, while ensuring underwriting decisions align with strategy, authority levels and guidelines.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify opportunities and support Product Managers with analysis, reporting and projects.
• Deliver team financial targets, including GWP, retention, rate and loss ratio, while identifying and executing cross-sell opportunities.
