Job summary

Repeta Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator & Maintenance Fitter (Team Leader). This split role combines operator duties with maintenance and the ability to guide a small daily crew to meet production targets.

You will lead safe plant operations, perform preventative maintenance, and drive continuous improvements to equipment reliability. Welding, forklift operation, and leadership experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a fitter, maintenance, or mechanical role is required.
Leading Hand or Team Leader experience is highly regarded.
Welding capability is essential.
Current Forklift Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

Plant Operations: Safely operate plant equipment, including forklift work and raw material handling.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coordinate a small daily crew of operators to ensure production targets are safely met.
Maintenance & Reliability: Handle preventative maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and general process improvements to promote machinery reliability and facility efficiency.
Downtime Prevention: Support the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by ensuring all equipment is well-maintained to avoid unnecessary downtime.
Safety & Compliance: Take ownership of floor safety. Implement factory safety procedures and comply with Occupational Health & Safety (WHS/OHS) standards in accordance with our site manual.
