Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a skilled Plant Operator for Foxdale Quarry to operate quarry mobile and fixed crushing plant, and to perform routine servicing and maintenance to support regional production.

You will work in a busy quarry environment, maintain safety standards, and provide courteous service to quarry customers while supporting operations across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy machinery in quarry, construction, or mining environments.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Current Queensland C Class Manual Driver Licence and White Card.
• Courteous customer service when interacting with quarry customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of quarry mobile plant and fixed crushing plant equipment.
• Undertake routine servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs to plant and equipment.
• Conduct daily operational tasks including plant operation, labouring and general housekeeping.
• Operate equipment such as front-end loaders, excavators and articulated dump trucks as required.
• Assist with crushing, material handling and other quarry activities to support daily operations.
• Provide courteous customer service to quarry customers and stakeholders.
• Support quarry operations across the region when required.

$75,694.76 per annum to $77,042.95 per annum

About The Role:

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Plant Operator to join our Quarry team.

This hands-on role is responsible for the operation of quarry plant and mobile equipment to support the production and supply of quarry materials across the region. Working within a busy quarry environment, you will contribute to safe, efficient and productive operations while maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety and customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing:
