Job summary

Boral Booyal Quarry in Queensland is seeking a dedicated Plant Operator to run the mobile and fixed plant and keep production moving safely each shift.

This permanent, full-time role offers hands-on training, mentoring from experienced operators, and the chance to develop your quarry trade. You will work Monday to Saturday with a supportive team and a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mobile plant.
• HR truck licence is handy, though not essential.
• Quarry experience is well regarded, though not essential.
• Self-motivated, with safety and quality front of mind.
• Team player with minimal supervision.
• Available to work Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump haul truck, front-end loader and other quarry mobile plant safely.
• Operate the crushing plant safely.
• Basic maintenance and keeping your plant and work area in good order.
• Get involved in problem solving and finding better ways to do the job.
• Participate in safety routines, including pre-starts, toolbox talks and incident reporting.

We are looking for a Plant Operator to join our team at Booyal Quarry, near Bundaberg. This is a permanent, full-time role operating the mobile and fixed plant that keeps the site producing and doing it safely every shift. If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in looking after your gear and want to learn the quarry trade properly, we would like to hear from you.

Your day will involve:

• Operating our dump haul truck, front-end loader and other quarry mobile plant safely
• Operating the crushing plant safely
• Basic maintenance and keeping your plant and work area in good order
• Getting involved in problem solving and finding better ways to do the job
• Taking part in our safety routines, including pre-starts, toolbox talks and incident reporting

What are we looking for?

• Experience operating mobile plant (front-end loader is a plus, but we can teach you)
• An HR truck licence is handy, though not essential
• Quarry experience is well regarded, though not essential
• Self-motivated, with safety and quality front of mind
• Someone who works well in a team and can get on with the job with minimal supervision
• Available to work Monday to Saturday
