Rockhampton Regional Council invites applications for a Plant Operator/Labourer to support construction, maintenance and operational activities essential to delivering reliable water and sewerage services across the region.

The role requires current competency in skid steer, excavator and backhoe, MR licence, and a safety‑first approach. You will operate plant and trucks, undertake civil tasks such as pipe laying and basic concreting, and help maintain hydrants, valves and mains.

Synopsis

Plant Operator / Labourer

• Permanent / Full Time
• Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
• $77,483 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site) + Superannuation
• Location – Rockhampton

About the Role

Fitzroy River Water is seeking an experienced Plant Operator/Labourer to support the construction, maintenance, and operational activities essential to delivering reliable water and sewerage services to our community.

If you hold current competency in Skid Steer, Excavator, and Backhoe operation, we'd love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to maintaining critical infrastructure across the region.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What you’ll do
