Job summary

  • Leadership and supervisory experience leading a team.
  • Extensive experience in civil maintenance works (concrete, fencing, line marking, guardrail, signage).
  • Ability to plan and organise tasks to meet schedules and standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with the public, co-workers and contractors.

Job description

  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9-day fortnight with a supportive work/life balance
  • $81,643 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site + LH1) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for
  • Substantial experience in civil construction and maintenance.
  • Leadership qualities and supervisory skills with knowledge and experience in leading a teamto success.
  • Ability to plan and organise tasks/work of a work crew to meet schedules and standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to problem solve, build relationships with all stakeholders, and provide the best customer experience.
  • Ability to contribute to and uphold Council’s Safety-First culture.
  • Ability to work outside of standard operational hours (subject to change).

  • Leadership skills with a commitment to motivating your team to achieve high work standards.
  • High level of experience in a range of civil maintenance works, eg concrete, fencing, line marking, guardrail, and signage replacement
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with members of the public, co-workers, and contractors.
