Job summary

Singleton Council is seeking a Plant Operator for full-time hours on a casual/temporary basis in Singleton, NSW. The role runs 6:30am–3:30pm with possible 4-day weeks and an initial 3-month assignment with potential extension.

Key duties include operating plant across civil works, maintaining safety, and supporting labour tasks. Immediate start available; WHS compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• White Card (mandatory).
• HR Licence (mandatory).
• Hands-on plant operation experience with Excavators/Skid Steers/Backhoes/Rollers.
• Strong safety awareness and reliable work ethic.
• Immediate availability to commence.

• Operate a range of plant and equipment across road and civil maintenance works
• Ensure all plant is operated safely and efficiently
• Assist with general labouring duties as required
• Work collaboratively within a team environment to meet daily work schedules

About the Role

This position offers full-time hours on a casual/temporary basis, with an initial assignment of approximately 3 months and the potential to extend.

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 3:30pm
• Flexible arrangements considered, including a 4 day week (Monday to Thursday)

• Some downtime may occur during wet weather if suitable work is unavailable
• Start: ASAP

Essential Requirements

• White Card (mandatory)
• HR Licence (mandatory)
• Proven, hands-on experience operating plant, including one or more of the following:
  • Excavators
  • Skid Steers
  • Backhoes
  • Rollers
• Strong safety awareness and a reliable work ethic
• Ability to commence work immediately

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Traffic Control tickets
