Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a motivated Plant Operator / Labourer to join our Parks Operations team in Gracemere. This hands-on role operates tractors, ride-on mowers and other plant to maintain parks, reserves and open spaces across the Rockhampton Region.

You will work Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, with a salary of $77,483 per annum plus super. A Police Check is required. The role offers training opportunities and a supportive, values-driven team culture.

• Ability to operate a manual transmission tractor and attached implements.
• Experience in horticulture, turf maintenance and vegetation management.

Your new role

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a motivatedPlant Operator / Labourerto join our Parks Operations team. This hands-on role forms part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for maintaining parks, reserves and open spaces across the Rockhampton Region.

As a Plant Operator / Labourer, you will operate tractors, ride-on mowers and other plant and equipment while undertaking a range of mowing, slashing, vegetation management, horticultural and general parks maintenance activities. You will also assist with pest and weed management, irrigation maintenance and the upkeep of public spaces to ensure safe, attractive and well-maintained community assets.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
