Job summary

WorkPac is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for a civil/mining earthworks environment in Gladstone. You will operate excavators to perform precise final trim to design specifications, with a focus on safety, productivity and quality.

The role is based on a Monday–Friday roster with an immediate start and onsite work in Gladstone. Requirements include a current Drivers License, White Construction Card, and RII (Excavator) certification.

Qualifications

• Current Drivers License
• White Construction Card
• Have current 3 site Gladstone medipass or willing to obtain
• RII's (Excavator) with GPS experience
• Extensive experience operating excavators in civil, mining or major earthworks environments
• Demonstrated final trim experience working accurately to design

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators for final trim across civil and bulk earthworks projects to accurate design specifics.
• Complete pre-start inspections and maintain equipment.
• Work closely with stakeholders to achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, production and quality

About Our Client:

Our client is a major industrial processing plant - Produces roughly 3 million tonnes of alumina per year, serving aluminium smelters and international customers.

What you will be doing:

• Operating excavators for final trim across civil and bulk earthworks projects to accurate design specifics.
• Completing pre-start inspections and maintaining equipment.
• Working closely with all stake holders to achieve daily production targets.
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, production and quality.

What you will need:

• Current Drivers License
• White Construction Card
• Have current 3 site Gladstone medipass or willing to obtain
• Relevant RII's (Excavator) with strong experience using GPS systems
• Extensive experience operating excavators in civil, mining or major earthworks environments
• Demonstrated final trim experience working accurately to design
