Category 5 Labour Management is seeking a Plant Operator in Clayton, VIC. The role features a 3‑month casual roster with potential to move to permanent full‑time with the client.

Typical hours are 7:00am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturday work (7:00am–2:00pm). Responsibilities include operating earthmoving equipment, loading and transporting materials, and ensuring safety and professional service.

Responsibilities

• Operate earthmoving equipment ( Excavators, Front End Loader, Material Handlers)
• Maintain a professional image and deliver high-quality customer service
• Inform and assist drivers/public on proper dumping placements for effective spreading/compactting
• Excavate, load, transport soil, gravel and other materials to compact/cover waste per requirements/regulations
• Operate vehicles and equipment per training, instructions or procedures and company regulations

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating earthmoving equipment (ie. Excavators, Front End Loader and Material Handlers)
• Maintain a professional image and deliver high-quality customer service at all times
• Inform and assist drivers and/or members of the public of proper placement for dumping loads to ensure most effective spreading or compacting of waste or other materials
• Excavate, load, transport soil, gravel and other materials to compact and/or cover waste in accordance with company/contractual requirements and applicable regulations
• Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations
