Job summary

CBD Plant & Labour Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking Skilled Labourers and Operators for civil construction projects across Greater Sydney. Casual role with potential for full-time, offering competitive hourly rates based on experience and ongoing site work.

The roles require operating heavy machinery and performing ground labouring tasks, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and reliable site attendance. White Card, driver’s licence, and VOC for plant are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating heavy machinery within civil construction.
• Minimum 2 years' experience labouring duties within civil construction, including asphalt.
• Current White Card and driver’s licence.
• SOA & VOC for Plant (Skid Steer, Moxy, Excavator, etc)
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Willingness to work both in machinery and on the ground as required.
• Strong physical stamina and commitment to safe work practices.
• Team-focused attitude and strong work ethic.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
• Assist with general civil labouring duties when required.
• Support excavation, trenching, backfilling and material movement.
• Assist supervisors and plant operators with daily site activities.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and basic operator maintenance.
• Comply with all WHS requirements, SWMS and site procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment.
