Job summary

REMONDIS Australia Pty Ltd in Blayney NSW is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator to support its Environmental Treatment Solutions division. The role involves operating plant equipment, including forklifts, and handling various waste streams in a safety-conscious team environment.

Ideal candidates hold a current driver and forklift license, with Loader ticket and waste-industry experience considered advantageous. This is a permanent, full-time position with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• A current driver license and Forklift license and experience is essential.
• Loader ticket and waste industry experience are desirable.
• Machinery operation and hands-on experience as a plant operator is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment; Forklift is essential and Loader knowledge is desirable.
• Handle incoming waste: stockpiling, compacting, and processing DG and NDG materials.
• Screen and sort waste to ensure proper disposal.
• Load and unload vehicles, weigh waste, and manage different waste streams.
• Perform manual and physical work.

What you’ll be doing

• Operating plant equipment, Forklift is essential, and other machinery such as Loader would be desirable
• Handling incoming waste: stockpiling, compacting, and processing DG (dangerous goods) and NDG (non-dangerous good) materials
• Screening and sorting waste to ensure proper disposal
• Loading and unloading vehicles, weighing waste, and managing different waste streams
• Performing manual and physical work
