Job summary

Martogg Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing and engineering, driving measurable improvements across safety, production, plant reliability, cost, waste and efficiency.

You will maintain a strong presence on the production floor and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the operation has the people, equipment and processes required to perform effectively.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in manufacturing/engineering operations.
• Proven track record of leading and developing operational teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities including root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing manufacturing and engineering teams, creating a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Driving safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.
• Maximising plant availability, equipment utilisation and production output.
• Improving material efficiency and reducing production waste and losses.
• Managing labour and operational resources to meet production requirements.
• Developing and managing departmental budgets, with a strong focus on cost control and financial accountability.
• Establishing and managing operational KPIs and using data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Leading root cause analysis and corrective actions where performance falls below expectations.
• Supporting workforce planning, training, skills development and succession planning.
• Working collaboratively across Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Sales and other business functions
