Martogg Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing and engineering, driving measurable improvements across safety, production, plant reliability, cost, waste and efficiency.

You will maintain a strong presence on the production floor and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the operation has the people, equipment and processes required to perform effectively.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in manufacturing/engineering operations.
• Proven track record of leading and developing operational teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities including root cause analysis.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing and engineering operations and play a key role in improving the performance of our business.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys being close to the operation, developing people and driving measurable improvements across safety, production, plant reliability, cost, waste and efficiency.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will have responsibility for manufacturing and engineering employees and will work closely with other areas of the business to ensure the operation has the people, equipment and processes required to perform effectively.

About you

We are looking for an experienced operations leader who can balance people leadership with strong operational discipline.

You will ideally bring

• Demonstrated leadership experience within a manufacturing, processing or engineering environment
• A strong track record of leading and developing operational teams
• A practical understanding of production efficiency, plant availability and manufacturing cost control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including root cause analysis and corrective action
• Experience working with operational KPIs and using performance data to drive improvement
• Budgeting and financial management capability
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different levels and functions of a business
• A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge existing processes where a better outcome can be achieved
• Strong personal integrity, accountability and a results-focused approach
• 5+ years' experience
